October 11 is celebrated as International Day of the Girl Child. It is a day to honour the girl child and also bring across the issues that are faced by the gender all over the world. Also, the entire month of October is observed as the Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The disease is only among the rise, especially among the younger lot in the country. A lot of efforts and awareness need to be made to make ladies aware of this tumour. To mark these occasions the Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Railway Station was lit up in the colour of pink lights.
You must be thinking why facials this early ? Considering marriage is in October . That’s because if anything goes wrong , something reacts to your skin , it will happen now , instead of ruining your big day and preps before. Same for haircut and hair color . If you have been wanting to experiment with haircut , do it now and get satisfaction . If you have Virgin hair aka never colored before , and want it now , do it. Prepare list of actual concerns you have ( if any ) .particular changes you want in your body or on face . When decided , visit a good dermatologist and chill!
Now, two things: one, if you are a guy, in the first year you’ll have the hostels farthest from the academic buildings and you’ll have to walk hell lot to go anywhere in the first year. Happy journey!! Second, if you are a girl, you are not allowed to go out of the campus till October in the first year, I don’t know what changes after October. Sorry. And even after that, girls are only allowed to leave the campus four times a month and that too for limited time. In the classes faculty is mostly south Indian and some may be partial towards south Indians. Yeah! You’ll find both chilled out and frustrated teachers in VIT.
You asked dress code, Indian students can’t wear shorts to class. Chinese and African students can. There are various clubs and chapters that you can join in VIT, ehich will help you develop your skills. After all college isn’t just about studies, is it? Another thing, if girls and boys are roaming together in the roads, not long ebeoigh you’ll hear the screeching sound of Anna’s whistle. Let’s come to hostels. If you are a girl and belong to CSE, IT, EEE or ECE, you’ll enjoy your 5 minute walk from your hostel to your class, but if you are a guy, no matter what branch you choose, you’ll have to walk a lot.
